Homeowners' pick for heating and cooling across northeast Ohio and the Western Reserve

AC Installation — Book a Visit Today

We install central AC systems, replace worn-out condensers and air handlers, and put in ductless mini-splits for homes across Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Most replacements start the same way: a compressor that will not restart, a refrigerant leak in an aging coil, or a system that runs all afternoon and still leaves upstairs bedrooms warm. A visit begins with load and airflow, not a brochure. We measure the rooms, look at the ductwork you actually have, check the electrical supply and the condensate path, then give you options that fit the house. Older homes in this region often need duct repairs or a ductless zone more than they need a bigger unit. Call us and we will set a time to look.

  • It needs refrigerant every single summer Chronic evaporator or line-set leak, replacement territory
  • Downstairs is freezing and upstairs is still hot Undersized or unbalanced duct distribution, zoning candidate
  • The addition over the garage never cools No duct runs to that space, ductless mini-split candidate

AC Installation — quick answers

Do I have to replace the furnace when I replace the AC?

Not always. The indoor coil sits in the furnace cabinet and the blower has to move enough air for the new system, so we check both. If your furnace is sound and the airflow works, we replace cooling only.

How long does a central AC installation take?

Most straight swaps of a condenser and coil run a single day. Adding duct repairs, a new line set, electrical work or a relocated condensate drain can push it into a second day. We tell you which before we start.

Is a ductless mini-split a real option for an older house?

Yes, and it is often the practical one. Older homes across the region have plaster walls and no space for new duct runs, so a wall or ceiling head serves that room directly with a small line set through the wall.

Can I just get a bigger unit so it cools faster?

Oversized systems short cycle, cool the air without pulling out humidity, and leave the house clammy. We size from the actual house, meaning square footage, windows, insulation and duct capacity, then match the equipment to it.

What happens to my old system?

We recover the refrigerant properly, disconnect the electrical and line set, and haul the old condenser and coil away with us. You do not have to store it or arrange disposal. We leave the pad and the area clear.

Should I replace now or wait until it dies?

If the system still cools and holds refrigerant, planning ahead beats an emergency in July. If it is leaking yearly or the compressor is failing, replacement usually costs less than another round of repairs. We will tell you honestly which one you have.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, no air, a smell, a noise, a breaker that keeps tripping. Details on the phone shorten the visit considerably.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, airflow, electrical connections, the outdoor unit and the heat exchanger side before naming a cause. You get the finding in plain words, not a parts list you cannot read.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and what happens if you wait. Nothing gets replaced without your say so. Most common repairs are handled the same visit.

Why homeowners call us

  • Old housing stock is normal hereBasements with converted octopus trunk lines, ducts retrofitted around joists, returns that were never sized right. We work in these houses constantly and we size the repair to the house you actually have.
  • Long heating seasonsFurnaces in this region run hard from October into April, and lake effect stretches it further. We know what wear looks like at that mileage, from cracked igniters to blower motors that have been dragging for two winters.
  • Cooling and heating bothOne crew for air conditioning repair and heating repair. The same ductwork moves air in July and January, so a technician who understands both sides catches problems a single-season contractor tends to walk past.
  • Plain talk about repair versus replaceSometimes a part fixes it for years. Sometimes you are putting money into a system that is done. We tell you which one we think you are looking at and why, then leave the decision with you.
  • All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York and the rest.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
