Questions Michigan homeowners ask

Which parts of Michigan do you serve?

We cover homeowners across Michigan, and the city pages linked on this page show where we currently have crews running. If you do not see your town, call us anyway. Coverage shifts with demand, and we can tell you straight away whether we can reach you and when.

My furnace runs constantly in winter but the house still feels cold. What is happening?

Usually it is one of three things: a system that is undersized or aging out, duct runs that were retrofit into a house never built for them, or airflow choked off by a loaded filter. Change the filter, confirm your supply and return vents are open, then call us. We will measure airflow and temperature rise instead of guessing.

I smell gas near my furnace. What should I do?

Leave the house right away, take everyone with you, and do not touch switches or your phone until you are outside. Call 911 or your gas utility from a safe distance. Once they have cleared the property, call us and we will inspect the heating system and address what caused it.

How soon can someone come out?

Call and we will give you the first realistic window we have, not a vague promise. No-heat calls during a cold snap and no-cooling calls in a heat wave get moved up. Michigan winters spike our volume, so the earlier in the day you call, the better your odds of same-day service.

What should I have ready before the technician arrives?

Know the age of the system if you can, the make on the label, and what you have already noticed: odd sounds, short cycling, rooms that never warm up. Clear a path to the furnace or air handler and unlock the basement door. If your outdoor unit is buried in leaves or snowdrift, clearing around it helps us work faster.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, no air, a smell, a noise, a breaker that keeps tripping. Details on the phone shorten the visit considerably.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, airflow, electrical connections, the outdoor unit and the heat exchanger side before naming a cause. You get the finding in plain words, not a parts list you cannot read.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the repair

We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and what happens if you wait. Nothing gets replaced without your say so. Most common repairs are handled the same visit.

Why homeowners call us

  • Old housing stock is normal hereBasements with converted octopus trunk lines, ducts retrofitted around joists, returns that were never sized right. We work in these houses constantly and we size the repair to the house you actually have.
  • Long heating seasonsFurnaces in this region run hard from October into April, and lake effect stretches it further. We know what wear looks like at that mileage, from cracked igniters to blower motors that have been dragging for two winters.
  • Cooling and heating bothOne crew for air conditioning repair and heating repair. The same ductwork moves air in July and January, so a technician who understands both sides catches problems a single-season contractor tends to walk past.
  • Plain talk about repair versus replaceSometimes a part fixes it for years. Sometimes you are putting money into a system that is done. We tell you which one we think you are looking at and why, then leave the decision with you.
  • All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York and the rest.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
